Who we are

Lucio aveva pubblicato New Observations a New York negli anni ottanta.

obscene, osceno, obsoleto.

Ogni numero avrà a scelta un tema specifico, oppure no.

OBSzine esce a singhiozzo.

. . .

OBSzine is a fanzine of art, thought, people, ideas.

It was born on August 6, 2016 in Lucio Pozzi’s Italian studio.

Participants were Lucio Pozzi and Lorenza Sannai, Riccardo Vanni from Ferrara, Mattia Venco and Sara Faccin from Vicenza. While talking of various matters, it was decided to again start a fanzine, following the wind of previous experiences.

The first issue is dated August 20, 2016.

Lucio had been publishing New Observations in New York in the eighties. We felt the time had come to start a publication that would be as spontaneous but quicker, in tune with the new times: Observations Zine.

The title OBSzine has many assonances,

among which obscene, obsolete.

OBSzine is published irregularly. Every issue may have a central theme, or maybe none. Issues all begin with the mere contact of one person.

Once a collaboration is set in motion a new issue starts brewing.

OBSzine is distributed by many means, mostly online. When printed, it may given away wherever, at a grocery, in an office, in the art world.

OBSzine was born in Italy but is already overseas, in diverse languages.
